effectively ban live music and dancing, while throwing innocent
people like you in jail. If enacted, either bill could prevent

from hearing your favorite band or DJ live. Every musical style

be affected, including rock and roll, Hip Hop, country, and
electronic music. Both bills would allow overzealous prosecutors 
to
send innocent people to jail for the crimes of others. The two 
bills
are the RAVE Act (H.R. 718) and the CLEAN-UP Act (H.R. 834). Both

The RAVE Act would make it easier for the federal government to
punish property owners for any drug offense that their customers
commit - even if they work hard to stop such offenses. If 
enacted,
nightclub and stadium owners would likely stop holding events -

drugs.  Similarly, the CLEAN-UP Act contains provisions that 
would
make it a federal crime - punishable by up to nine years in

to promote "any rave, dance, music or other entertainment event"

cases, it doesn't matter if the concert promoter and property 
owner
try to prevent people from using drugs. Nor does it matter if the

could effectively ban live music and dancing, as well as any 
other
event that might attract someone that would use drugs

forgeries, but only based on what I've gleaned from just a

message board for 3 years off and on, and one of the "rules" 
we'd established was NO IMPERSONATING ANOTHER POSTER.  The 
administrator of the board could identify IP numbers (it was a 
Discus Board program) and usually know if someone was being 
impersonated, and by whom.  We don't have that luxury here, nor 
do I think it would do much good for the type of forum this is.  
I think it sucks to be impersonated in a mean-spirited way (it 
has happened to me before).

HOWEVER...

U.K. Citizen brought up a good point.  You began your posting 
(as "Walter" anyway; I don't know if you posted under another 
name in the past) by making fun of people through expressing 
support of terrorism in America.  I eventually understood your 
explanation as using reverse psychology to try to make people 
look in the mirror at their own inflammatory statements.  That 
backfired into oblivion as people were justifiably pissed off 
when they believed you to be a supporter of terrorism and 
terrorist acts.  You didn't recover soon enough to allow people 
to recognize who you really are before one or more people 
started impersonating you.  So now no one knows for sure which 
is you and which is the impersonator.  This is really 
unfortunate, because now none of us might never know the real 
you, and if you had some good things to offer, we will never 
know for sure if we should take you seriously or not.

It's also unfortunate because for a moment I thought I could 
have a productive dialog with you.  You are obviously articulate 
and fairly intelligent, but that has been lost with the anger 
stirred up on the board.  I think nearly everyone on this planet 
has good things in them that would benefit others.  The only 
type of person I ignore is one who lies or misrepresents 
themselves consistently... like the vandals who leave their ugly 
mark from time to time on this board and don't stick around to 
back up their words, or people only wanting to cause mischief or 
hurt by throwing around a lot of crap they wouldn't want their 
own mothers to ever know about.

I don't know how this can be repaired.  I don't know if you even

Although the Monarch's role is largely ceremonial, on a 
technicality you could well be right, though I really couldn't 
say for sure. The one and possibly only value of having a 
Monarch in the modern age at all is that they be above politics 
altogther and in times of severe national crisis act as a symbol 
of unity for a nation. Case in point: Afghanistan. With a non-
existant political system people by and large, many accepted and 
rallied around Hamid Karzai to provide at least some kind of 
starting point. Asking the Queen to help sanction a war of this 
nature can't really get more political, let's be honest.

As things stand, Powell and Blair pursuaded Bush and his team to 
venture down the U.N. route to better preserve the perception of 
world unity, even though it may not exist all that much in 
practice. Looks like Bush to his credit felt he owed it to Blair 
to return the favour a good while prior to Blair receiving some 
fairly decent popularity ratings in the 'States. It appears some 
in the American press are already questioning the wisdom of 
Blair's advice on this, seeing the use of the U.N. route to gain 
added legitimacy as a complete waste of time. At some point 
however the U.N. will probably be called upon to help secure the 
peace assuming there is any, and also co-ordinate the 
humanitarian effort, the sheer scale of which at this point is 
being vastly under-estimated and under-planned for by just about 
everybody.

At one point the pro-war camp had possibly 10 votes in their 
grasp, until Chirac's "no military conflict under any 
circumstances" intervention. Chirac's taking a big a gamble as 
Blair is. If his stance proves to be correct following any war, 
France once again re-asserts itself on the world stage. If he's 
wrong, he's responsible in my view for helping to destroy the 
very institution his country uses as a platform for it's views, 
that being the U.N.. Not to mention seriously undermining the 
N.A.T.O. alliance. Precisely the two things Blair was trying 
desperately to avoid in the wake of 9-11.

With no "2nd" U.N. resolution viable now, he has no choice but 
to put it to a vote in Parliament. Although some left wing 
rebels in his Party will vote against going to war to try and 
undermine him, enough may vote in favour of their leader. It'll 
be interesting to see how many Labour MP's are prepared to 
compromise on their principles knowing full well that if it 
hadn't been for Blair they'd have all been out of a job. The 
vote should go in his favour, but it's the size of the numbers 
voting against that'll determine whether there's "regime change" 
in Britain anytime soon.

This is an outburst Nicole but by and large I can't help but 
agree with you. (I wish people to recognise that the writing

murder but there was a confrontation. We have sorted out our 
differences though we recognise that there are also problems 
with the sound proofing in this building. Concerning money there 
would appear to be some kind of moralistic garbage principle 
going round that I should somehow earn it. In my opinion I have 
done so multifold yet it is true that I am still in overdraft. 
In this sense my recognition is abysmal and continues right now 
to be utterly abysmal. Sorry about this but it's the truth. I 
also can see how it is understandable - it's a mentality that I

a charity, I think I have earned it many times over - I am

Sometime watching interview with personel from the Arab leaque, 
you can imagine how naive this interviewer is. These arab 
spokes always spoke of Saddam is now slowly owning up to his 
weapons, chemicial, biological and etc. If he were genuine, he 
would have exposed all these from the beginnig of this threat. 
Why wait until now. Bush, Blair and Powell know this but the UN 
espciallly from France are just refusing to accept that Saddam 
is buying time to gain more sympathy from the rest of the world.

Now he is threatening that he will bring the war to the rest of 
the world. How by terrorists act. If that is so, then he should 
be lable terrorists and be done with. The rest of the world 
have to open their eyes and ears and see these Arab nation 
threat. What has the rest of the world got to do with US war on 
Iraq. Is Saddam dragging us along. Then the rest of the world 
should be aware of the war Saddam meant.

He is scare of rebellion, that is why he put his family in 
charge of each formation he so call plan. This guy is a 
dictator, killing his own people, his own kind, his own 
religious kind.

Iraq when the USA covers Baghdad.

Look at the protest going on in the Arab and muslims world now, 
Can' they just protest peacefully and ask for peace and pray. 
No they actually instigating more hatred on themself but yes 
they may get support from some muslims extremists. What about 
the majority that is not in the street.

Maybe a peace rally asking US to give Iraq a chance may help 
not that kind of rally chanting and burning US flag. It will do 
more harm than peace.

Watching the press conference from the Azores this afternoon 
leaves no doubt that Saddam will be dealt with militarily very, 
very soon. Its a matter of hours. No more games, no more time, 
no more bullshit! Bush and Blair stopped short of declaring war 
but didn't make it hard to read between the lines. Blair made 
the point that the natural resources of Iraq belong to the 
people of Iraq. Im sure there are plenty of watch-dogs that will 
hold him and Bush to that statement post-war and I'll be one. 

Saddam's response to the Azores meeting was to call Hans Blix 
immediatly to Iraq in what would be another "well, lookie here 
at what we remembered we had. See, we are co-operating" game 
that worked so well a month ago. Blix said no this time.

Sleep will not come easy in the next week. The best we can do is 
pray for our soldiers and the civilians of Iraq. Hopefully the 
worst case scenerios are far off target. 

The evidence of Iraq being involved with international terrorism 
is massive - just whats available on the internet. Refugee's 
fleeing Iraq have included many military and government 
officials. I re-read an interview today with a former Iraqi who 
was part of security at a training facuility southeast of 
Bahgdad called Salmon Pac. A Boeing passenger jet airliner was 
located there for the sole purpose of training hi-jackers, and 
not just Iraqi Arabs passed through training there. There are 
satelite photo's comfirming the mans story of the plane and the 
location. This man escaped Iraq before Sept. 11, 2001.
